Jaguar I-PACE
The all-electric Jaguar I-PACE and its state-of-the-art 90kWh Lithium-ion battery delivers a range of 480km with owners able to achieve a 0-80 per cent battery charge in just 40 minutes using DC rapid public charging. Home charging with an AC wall box will achieve the same state of charge in just over ten hours i.e. overnight and a battery conditioning system alters the battery temperature to maximise range before setting off.
Two Jaguar-designed electric motors can be found at each axle offering all-wheel-drive, all-surface traction whilst launching the I-PACE from a standing start to 100km/h in just 4.8 seconds.
The bespoke EV aluminium architecture, boasting the highest torsional rigidity of any Jaguar, complemented by the central location of the battery enable 50:50 weight distribution and a low centre of gravity. The result is agile handling and excellent ride comfort.
As it has been designed from the outset as an EV, the I-PACE offers bold aero-efficient design and interior space for five adults and luggage.
Influenced by the Jaguar C-X75 supercar, the Jaguar I-PACE has a short, low bonnet, aero-enhanced roof design and curved rear screen.
Inside, the layout optimises space for passengers while sophisticated materials – including the option of a premium textile Kvadrat interior. Sports seats in a variety of colours are available and an EV navigation system assesses the topography of the planned route to offer insights from previous journeys, including driving style, to calculate personalised range and charging status.
The I-PACE will also offer the opportunity for drivers to ask an Alexa enabled device for information held in the Jaguar InControl Remote app. For example: “Is my car locked?”
Aimed at both private customers and companies seeking to reduce their fleet costs, peace of mind comes from an eight-year battery warranty and 21,000-mile and two-year servicing.
The I-PACE launched on 1 March 2018 in S, SE and HSE derivatives alongside a First Edition, all inspired by the design of the original concept.
