Peugeot e-2008
The Peugeot e-2008 SUV, the brand’s first fully electric SUV, is powered by a 50 kWh battery and 136hp motor which Peugeot claims provides a range of up to 206 miles from a full charge for which domestic, accelerated and rapid options are available. Rapid certainly means Rapid as it offers an 80% charge in just 30 minutes; by using the MYPeugeot app, drivers are able to monitor, start, stop or programme charging remotely.
The Peugeot e-2008 comes with three different driving modes, Sport, Normal and Eco – and two regenerative braking modes – Moderate and Increased – to help make maximise range. It is differentiated from its petrol and diesel counterparts by distinctive styling cues, including a body coloured chequered front grille with gloss black edging trim, bespoke ‘e’ monogram on front side panel and tailgate, and a dichroic Lion emblem, which changes colour from different angles.
Active Premium trim comes fitted with 16” alloy wheels, a low centre console, electric / heated door mirrors and Peugeot i-Cockpit with a 3.5" instrument panel display. The car also comes with pre-heating functionality and electric parking brake for added convenience as well as Active Safety Braking as standard. Prices for the Peugeot e-2008 Active Premium SUV start at £33,230.
Allure trim starts from £34,430 and includes 17” diamond cut alloy wheels, 180° colour reversing camera, electric parking brake and dark tinted rear windows. The front armrest, as well as providing storage, contains no less than four USB ports.
Pay a little more and you can secure the Allure Premium trim. This version of the e-2008 includes configurable 3D i-Cockpit, LED front fog lights with cornering function, active safety brake with night function and gloss black roof rails.
From £37,180, the e-2008 GT adds in full LED headlights (including smartbeam assist), 3D connected navigation, a 10” capacitive colour touchscreen, heated front seats, front parking sensors and a smartphone charging plate.
Last but certainly not least, the range-topping Peugeot e-2008 GT Premium extends to include 18” diamond cut alloy wheels, alcantara interior, adaptive cruise control and Peugeot's own keyless entry system. Unsurprisingly the most expensive vehicle in the range, the e-2008 GT Premium starts from £38,580.
