Tesla’s dual motor Model X 75D, which Tesla claims is the safest, fastest and most capable sport utility vehicle in history comes with four wheel drive and its 75 kWh battery takes it from 0-60 mph in just 4.9 second whilst providing a range of 259 miles.
The Model X 100D, with its 100 kWh Battery, also All-Wheel Drive, has a 351 miles range, a 155 mph top speed and reaches 0-60 mph in just 4.7 seconds.
The top of the range Model X P100D, like the Model X 100D, has a 100 kWh Battery with Performance All-Wheel Drive, a slightly lower 336 miles range but a 155 mph top speed and a 0-60 mph time of just 2.9 seconds, with a 1.4 seconds passing speed, 45-65 mph with Tesla’s Ludicrous Speed Upgrade included as standard.
Each model comes with smart air suspension with GPS memory automatically raises and lowers ride height and the vehicle boasts the largest glass panoramic windshield in production. Innovative Falcon Wing doors allow easy access to second and third row seats, even from tight parking spaces and storage is plentiful with no less than 88 cubic feet of storage in the five seat configuration.
Aware of the likely usage of this SUV, Tesla includes its Towing Package as standard with software that actively monitors trailer sway and adjusts wheel braking as needed. The tow bar itself is high strength steel, compatible with hitch-mounted bike and ski carriers – for those taking the Model X to the slopes then you’ll have the comfort of heated front seats as standard.
The Model X comes with smart air suspension, storage in both front and rear, satellite navigation (including real-time traffic information), a GPS enabled Homelink for opening and closing garage doors and keyless entry. Safety features include collision avoidance, automatic emergency braking LED turning lights and fog lights. Tesla deliver over-the-air software updates to the Model X to add features and enhance performance.
Upgrades include a choice of five seat, six seat or seven seat interiors and other optional extras include an upgraded sound system and a HEPA air filtration system (both standard on the Tesla Model X P100D). In addition, customers are able to purchase both enhanced autopilot and full self-driving capability.
Although running costs are low, the Model X comes with 400 kWh of free annual Supercharger credits for good measure. Peace of mind comes from the 8 year, infinite mile battery and drive unit warranty coupled with a 4 year 50,000 mile warranty.
